About Us
Our Story
Labor of Love Studio began as a small ceramics production brand, focused on creating handcrafted pieces at scale. But over time, we realized our true joy didn’t come from volume—it came from sharing the craft itself. What started in a garage with a wheel and a kiln has since evolved into a welcoming studio space where creativity takes center stage.
Today, Labor of Love Studio exists as a community hub in Denver where people can create, converse, and find purpose through clay. Our classes—shaped through months of trial, error, and intentional design—are built to provide a well-rounded introduction to ceramics, from wheel-throwing to handbuilding. At the heart of it all is our belief in finding passion in process: celebrating the making just as much as the finished piece, and building connections that last far beyond the studio walls.

Our Mission
We’re here to make clay and craft accessible. Our mission is to build a supportive, skill-focused space where people can learn by doing, connect through making, and take pride in creating pieces they’ll actually use. We value process, patience, and the quiet joy of working with your hands.
Our Founder
Austin grew up in a small farm town in Ohio before studying Industrial Design in college, where his passion for blending craft and creativity first took root. His career path has led him through footwear, product, and interior design—work that sharpened both his eye for detail and his love for process. Alongside his role as a design and marketing consultant for Airstream, Austin founded Labor of Love Studio as a way to share his favorite creative outlet with others.
What began as a ceramics production studio has transformed into a community space where Austin’s true joy lies—not in producing at scale, but in fostering creativity, teaching, and helping people discover purpose in clay. Through Labor of Love, he hopes to encourage others to embrace the beauty of process, connect with their community, and find fulfillment in making.
